ALEXANDER MCQUEEN DIES - 11 Feb 2010 The fashion world is in mourning after it was announced that iconic designer had committed suicide.

His suicide comes three years after Isabella Blow (19 Novermber 1958 - 7 May 2007), a close friend and responsable for lauching Mcqueen, also killed herself.

It is believed Alexander McQueen, 40, was found at his flat in Green Street, in London's West End, shortly after 10am the same day of his death.

The reason behind his withdrawl was because of his beloved mother's death, Joyce, whom he was extremely close to, just a week ago.
The designer told his followers on Twitter the sad news the next day. He wrote: "I'm letting my followers know my mother passed away yesterday if it she had not me nor would you RIP mumx". A minute later he added: "but life must go on!"
